Green Built Alliance has curated a variety of course options that will fulfill the six elective hours required annually by the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors, as well as being eligible for credit through the American Institute of Architects and certain other trade organizations.
With discounts for members and free equitable access tickets available to individuals who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQ, workshops will be held throughout the year leading up to the Nov. 30 deadline for general contractors to complete their continuing education. These classes may also meet continuing-education criteria for architects as well as other professional groups. The current class cost per credit hour is $20 for nonmembers, $15 for members, and $10 for students or seniors.
See below for our most recent schedule for the fall of 2022. We will be offering virtual afternoon classes via Zoom from 2 to 4 p.m. every Tuesday in November with the exception of the holiday week of Thanksgiving. This schedule includes two brand new classes never offered before, Energy Star 3.1 for Contractors and Practical Passive Solar Design, the former of which is being offered twice to accommodate high anticipated interest, as well as one returning class, Edible and Native Plants of WNC, back by popular demand.
