Earth Day 5K

Leave a positive footprint at the 2nd Annual Earth Day 5K!

April 20, 2024 | Asheville, North Carolina

The Earth Day 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will start and end at The Outpost, located right by Carrier Park. Parking is available at Carrier Park (220 Amboy Rd).

There will be live music from EcoGroove Collective to play your favorite jam tunes, the Grey Eagle Food Truck, refreshingly cold beer, booths from local organizations, and sauna sessions available with Drip Sauna.

🍻 Runners will each receive a free beer ticket at packet pickup thanks to our beer sponsor, French Broad River Brewery. You MUST bring your ID with you and present to the servers at The Outpost or you will not be able to access this perk.

The after-party is open to the public at a suggested donation of $10 at the door. We encourage you to bring friends to cheer you on at the finish line!

Runners from the inaugural Earth Day 5K celebrate finishing the race. All smiles despite the rainy weather!

Why This Matters

The Earth Day 5K, hosted by Green Built Alliance, is part fundraiser for our nonprofit and part awareness campaign for reducing our community’s carbon footprint. Funds raised will support Green Built Alliance’s programs that promote sustainability, impact environmental justice, and serve our community. The race aims to create a positive footprint, providing educational opportunities for supporting and engaging our community’s commitment to 100% Renewable Energy by 2042.

The nonprofit Green Built Alliance is the event producer with previous consulting from iDaph Events. Green Built Alliance has years of experience hosting fundraisers and other events and are thrilled to continue the Earth Day 5K as their main annual fundraiser.
